Sing a song
This week’s assignment was to indicate–illustrate a song title or lyrics. I wasn’t really all that intrigued by the assignment. But then today we decided on an early trip to Tyrrell Park and the Cat tail Marsh. This Marsh is part of the sewage treatment system and like one in Port Neches is a wildlife and bird refuge. No it doesn’t smell–at least any differently than any marsh or swamp does. There are many kinds of birds here and unlike the one in Port Neches which was by very select invitation only this is open to the public–at no charge. There are always people out there riding bicycles or walking along the levees and sometimes as was today a photographer with a long lens taking photos.
We took our share of photos and I got a few that I think are pretty nice–and I’ll share those later this week.
In the meantime–can you guess the song’s lyrics? A hint is that I have a three year old granddaughter who thinks turkey feathers should be pink.
Whoa! Sure hope that was a very long lens.
Actually not such a long lens. But I was on the levee and he was in the marsh. I sat on the side of the levee and took his photo. It was a nice day but he would have been still a bit chilled and not so fast that I couldn’t escape.
