There’s a Hawk in the birdbath
I was minding my own business—actually I was paying bills and reconciling my check book when I heard a lot of thumping and an excited husband shouting—something I couldn’t hear—
But then as he raced down the stairs–well–at a faster pace than usual—I understood that I needed to look out the living room window at the backyard.
A hawk was calmly taking a bath in our birdbath–the birdbath that normally hosts sparrows and doves and maybe a cardinal or two. We’ve had an egret in the pond, an owl in the powderpuff tree–sadly lost during Hurricane Rita–the owl, not the tree—but a hawk!
And there he is—keep in mind this photo was taken through the window.
And a couple more
