Even more blooms
Technically these are not blooms in my garden but the crepe myrtles in my yard put on quite a show every year. They are over a hundred years old and bloom for about a month. The bark strips off when there is a lot of rain as the trunk and branches increase in size. They are fragile trees and every time we have a bit of wind, the ground is covered with small twigs. The blossoms drip continuously and it seems almost like a gentle rain storm–not enough to get soaked but just enough to be cooled.
