Ficus Negra

In Georgia we planted a pink dogwood, a pecan tree, and a fig tree. We picked a few figs before we moved to Texas–certainly no pecans, and the dogwood died.

I bought a fig tree from Park Seed company along with three blueberry bushes but we had a really hard winter following a drought. It wasn’t much  more than a stick. The avocado trees also succumbed to the weather. Much to my delight and surprise, the fig tree now has two sets of new leaves. In a couple of years we should have a lot of figs–probably many more than we can eat.
