Starting a new project
After spending weeks organizing and cutting up scraps and sorting through my books, I was ready to embark upon an art project. Typically I start with a pieced background and then put the imagery on top of it. I can show some of the stages but will reserve the complete image for shows and contests etc. I used half square triangles that finish at 2 inches—small! I used some randomly cut beige-white-cream strips to make everything fit together and will probably add strips around the other three sides to make handling easier. Seams on the very edge are challenging and I’d rather have some room to trim.
