Water
Not much rain has fallen this year—and when it came last year it seemed to never be at the right time to rescue my garden. Then, too, I’ve had a lot of problems with the water meter always leaking. So this year, we came up with the plan to haul water from our house to the shop. First was figuring out the tank needed to store the water and to haul the water. We ended up with three rain barrels and a transfer pump. I still have some details to work out to actually deliver the water to the garden–and I’ll have to carry water in for the toilet to flush—but it feels functional once again–and I look forward to some fresh vegetables.
