Bricks

Somehow I started a collection of bricks. Finding a random one here or there, I pick them up and take them home with me. Many of them have their manufacturer’s name on them, some do not. One of my most prized bricks is from the schoolhouse where I attended first grade. It has now been torn down and replaced by a modern community center but many people in the community collected the bricks for a flower bed in their garden.

These two bricks were found in the flower beds around my house in Texas. And you can see the ferns beginning to come to life—another sure sign of spring.
