Rugs for Mugs of Liquid Refreshments
I’ve been participated in several online swaps–a small embroidered wall hanging, a basket and now three separate mug rug swaps. These tiny rugs are about 6 by 9 inches and designed to hold a coffee cup or mug or glass plus a small snack of some sort. This exchange celebrates the winter olympics and features a Russian Babuska doll and the dove of peace. I did a lot of hand embroidery and then hand quilted them— but now that I look at them I see the Russian Babuska must be a very old woman as she has a definite beard!
