Four by four for the Brush
Brush Gallery in Lowell Massachusetts welcomes fiber art and is having a fund raiser. Each artist was given a four by four stretched canvas numbered with the instructions to cover the canvas in any way desired and return it by March 1.
I decided to do a wrap around image and started with the following. I hand stitched along the edges of the batiks.
I trimmed up the edges and formed a box that I stretched over the frame with some machine sewing of the corners and finally a bit of hand sewing on the corners.
That little poof at the sides vanished with a bit of judicious hand sewing and tightening of the corners.
