Houston Quilt festival

Two days are not enough at Festival but my feet and back decided otherwise. The show was magnificent as usual, the vendors all seemed to be smiling, and I spent more than I thought I should. I took just one class this year–on screen printing which was fun.

The most impressive exhibit was that of a Japanese teacher with the most intricate sunbonnet Sues and Sams. I’ve included a small photo of her work and she has a book detailing her methods. She has tiny hands and was amazingly fast.

And as my Christmas gift this year from my dear friend–I have their book—all the way from France.
