Satsuma
several weeks ago I bought a satsuma tree from the Master Gardener sale. I had hoped to get a pear tree but those were sold out within five minutes of opening. A very nice young man carried the tree to my truck and I drove home with and placed it carefully in my walled off garden area to await the weekend when it could be planted.
Two days later i returned home from work to discover the garden gate had been chewed through and all the potted plants not in the dog crate had been uprooted and all the dirt removed from the roots—including the satsuma which was lying in front of the garage.
I stuffed it into a bucket of mud and put it in the garage.
My yard guy showed up the next day and I asked if he would plant it for me. It took him about five minutes and here it is–with still leafy green leaves.
