Free form artwork
In January or maybe it was February, the Fabulous fabricators of the Holus Bolus Gang met for our winter retreat. We always do some sort of group project, learning some new technique, but mostly laughing. This time under the guidance of Jeanelle, we stretched a fabric over a pre-stretched canvas, and did a free-form adaptation of a still life. I am not very fast but I finally finished my piece. The red plastic thimble was one I got from the mother of a friend’s estate sale. I got a fun collection of miscellany including a card of buttons labeled Lydia’s spring coat.
