St. Joseph and Baby Jesus
Today I completed work on St. Joseph and Baby Jesus. I struggled with one of St. Joseph’s hands, re-doing and adding and re-stitching until night before last, I decided it was a lost cause and ripped it out–not a small undertaking with the many layers of stitching and fabric. I haven’t mounted the piece yet on stretcher bars which is how I think I will present the piece–but then it doesn’t have to go anywhere just yet.

I love that piece. It is amazing.
Kay, I’m glad you like it–it took me a long time–first to find a photo (model) and then to work the piece. I’m thinking about stretching it over stretcher bars but haven’t quite gotten to that stage yet.
