Loose Ends

art on downstairs hall

Since my sewing room is in disrepair, I’m working on cleaning up a few loose ends—the things that you walk past every day and say to yourself  “I need to…..”. One of those projects included hanging some artwork in my downstairs hallway. I have a few more to go up but this is a good start.

On the far left is the piece I made for QuiltArt’s 15th Anniversary. Next is a small piece by Lisa Call with a print of a telescope from Keck Observatory in Hawaii. The small blue embroidered flowers is an exchange piece from Corrie in the Netherlands and the stained glass piece was done by Lori from Dallas.

Quilt Art 15th Anniversary

I worked a bit on my collage book in preparation for a Strathmore Visual Journal that starts January 1. Gluing always seems to take a lot of time but my collage book reflects things I’ve seen and places I’ve been and things that have happened. I’m promising myself that next year will be an exceptionally good one filled with fun and exploration.
