Have you Missed me?

For those of you who may have wondered if I just disappeared in Honduras or was abducted by aliens or was being held hostage by piles of fabric and spools of thread; sorry, nothing so exciting or interesting.

I’ve been quite ill with an infection that is usually fatal and quite rare. I was in the hospital for two months; home now for a few days more than two weeks and grateful to be alive and able to care for myself. It is a humbling experience to require help to and from the bathroom, to need to rest while brushing teeth, and to speak in two to three word bursts because of lack of air. However, all of that is greatly improved and today I drove to and from church; did my own laundry, and have finally caught up on the bill-paying and financial accounting I do.

So for the next few days, I’ll be posting my Honduras trip notes. The photos are in just one gallery and not necessarily in order but I think you will have a good feel for what it was like there in early June.

Good grief Sylvia! I was about to email you today only to find the reason for your mysterious disappearance. Do take good care of yourself. Connie

  4. Yes, I did miss you. I had a suspicion there was a medical issue involved, as the last post was you getting medical treatment. Sorry you have been so desperately ill, but I’m glad you are doing better. Take care. Blog when you can.
